Fall 2015 Meetings

In 2012 three students, aware of the major role that transportation plays in the lives of those living on and around an urban campus, dreamed of creating a way that others like them could connect. Their goal was to start an organization in which students could come together to participate in, as well as advocate for alternative forms of transportation in the Northeastern and Greater Boston communities.

In the fall of 2013 Northeastern University Huskies for Alternative Transportation (NUHAT) was officially recognized as a student organization by the University. With the mission of allowing Northeastern students to join together around alternative forms of urban transportation, NUHAT has become an active part of Northeastern’s student life. The organization has organized several transportation oriented trips and events, as well as worked on coordinating campaigns around important transportation issues.

NUHAT hopes to be a resource to other transportation enthusiasts, raise awareness of the importance of alternative forms of transportation, and create a positive and safe environment for everyone, no matter where they are going or how they are getting there.
